Uncorrected 20/200 Vision Makes Life More Interesting

19 October 2006

This morning, as I was walking towards the exit inside my subway stop, I noticed an unexpected sight: someone ahead of me was wearing a large tan M&M costume!  Ironically, my first thought was not, “Huh, that’s really out of place for a Thursday that’s more than a week before Halloween,” but “Oh! I miss the tan M&Ms; the blue ones are scary and weird.”  As I neared the stairs, however, I realized I was not seeing the backside of a someone pretending to be a chocolate candy, but rather the backside of someone who had merely eaten too many of said candies, and just happened to be wearing a sweater in the exact same shade.

Maaaaaaybe it’s time I start to wear my glasses during the morning commute.

Since acquiring this fever, whenever I’ve passed out in a quasi-unconscious state, or attempted sleep, I’ve had crazy and sometimes lucid dreams. I am still trying to sort out which long weekend happenings have been real, and which were complete subconscious artifice.
